A lot has happened since I last wrote. Steven Houston ( one of my best friends ) left on his mission to Frankfurt, Germany. It's crazy. Everyone is leaving! Trevor Nielson (one of my other best friends) received his call to Roseville, California speaking Hmong. It's a form of Vietnamese/Southern Chinese. He's really excited, but kind of scared.
Chad Moore had his farewell yesterday. He did a way good job. He spoke on families. Trevor and Dan Edwards (my old roommate) sang "How Great Thou Art". It was a really good sacrament meeting. I really like mission farewells. The spirit is so strong! :)
I'm not sure what else to say...... I've been fishing a few times wit Kari Stubbs. That's pretty fun. We just go pick random places on the river and fish. It's nice to get out and be alone for a while. To see the countryside by the banks of a river is a dream everyone should have. It is a wonderful experience. I took some photos. I'll be posting some up here in a few days. I really need to post some. hehe
I decided that some people are just flat out mean. Have you ever had anyone just ignore you for no apparent reason? Of course, they probably have their own reasons, but you have no clue why. It's enough to drive any person insane. Especially when the person who's ignoring you happens to be a pretty good friend of yours. (or at least you thought they were) Oh the drama in life. Wonderful? I think not. Why do humans go through so much drama and catastrophe? It's really annoying and unproductive. Here I am sounding like some sissy school boy complaining, but it really hurts having people just ignore you.
On a more positive note, my old roommate Dan came down this weekend for Chad's farewell. He stayed at my house. On Saturday we went to Chad's place in Delta, then went up Oak City canyon to roast some hot dogs with his family. It was pretty good. Afterwards, Chad, Dan, Trevor and I went and jumped in Gunnison Bend Reservoir. The water was SO warm! It was amazing. We went at 8:00 p.m. too. It was way fun. After that, we went and played Ultimate Frisbee! I really LOVE that game! It's one of the best games ever! We played for an hour or so, then people left. There were 11 or 12 of us there. 'Twas a good turn out. Dan left this morning. Good times. :)
On the 4th of July, I got pretty sick. Well, it was the day before that I really got sick.... but the evening of the 4th I went to a derby in Delta. It was pretty good. There were a few tip-overs. Sarah Kenison (a good friend from Snow), her brother-in-law Adam won the truck derby. It was way cool. There was a big fireworks display after the derby too.
This last Thursday I drove over to Ephraim and played Ultimate Frisbee with Alma Knudsen and a bunch of his friends and family. That was probably the hardest game of Ultimate I've ever played. It was so fun though! When we were done, I went over and visited Stephanie and Brandon at Steph's apartment. When it got late, I spent the night in my old apartment.... Probably wasn't supposed to..... but I did it anyway. hehehe The next day I went and visited the ladies in the Snow College Bookstore. I used to work there. They were pretty surprised to see me there. I told them about my mission call and talked for a while. They told me Sarah, Kylee and their friend Pam had been down earlier and talked to them. So I texted Kylee and hung out with those guys the rest of the day. I really miss them. I miss everyone in Ephraim! At Snow!! :( I really wish I was back there right now. Staying here at home is really driving me crazy. It gets so boring here! There's nothing to do! Well, that's what I said about Ephraim, but I could usually find something/someone to entertain me. ah well. :( I still have two months left. Two months of torture.
I'd better get going before I write a novel here. Oh! I'm going to see Batman: The Dark Knight tomorrow evening with a bunch of my friends!! :)
