Too Wrong

Well, I guess I haven't been on this for a while.  So I'd better start writing...... oops.

A lot has happened since I last wrote.  Steven Houston ( one of my best friends ) left on his mission to Frankfurt, Germany.  It's crazy.  Everyone is leaving!  Trevor Nielson (one of my other best friends) received his call to Roseville, California speaking Hmong.  It's a form of Vietnamese/Southern Chinese.  He's really excited, but kind of scared.

Chad Moore had his farewell yesterday.  He did a way good job.  He spoke on families.  Trevor and Dan Edwards (my old roommate) sang "How Great Thou Art".  It was a really good sacrament meeting.  I really like mission farewells.  The spirit is so strong! :)

I'm not sure what else to say...... I've been fishing a few times wit Kari Stubbs.  That's pretty fun.  We just go pick random places on the river and fish.  It's nice to get out and be alone for a while.  To see the countryside by the banks of a river is a dream everyone should have.  It is a wonderful experience.  I took some photos.  I'll be posting some up here in a few days.  I really need to post some.  hehe

I decided that some people are just flat out mean.  Have you ever had anyone just ignore you for no apparent reason?  Of course, they probably have their own reasons, but you have no clue why.  It's enough to drive any person insane.  Especially when the person who's ignoring you happens to be a pretty good friend of yours.  (or at least you thought they were)  Oh the drama in life.  Wonderful?  I think not.  Why do humans go through so much drama and catastrophe?  It's really annoying and unproductive.  Here I am sounding like some sissy school boy complaining, but it really hurts having people just ignore you.

On a more positive note, my old roommate Dan came down this weekend for Chad's farewell.  He stayed at my house.  On Saturday we went to Chad's place in Delta, then went up Oak City canyon to roast some hot dogs with his family.  It was pretty good.  Afterwards, Chad, Dan, Trevor and I went and jumped in Gunnison Bend Reservoir.  The water was SO warm!  It was amazing.  We went at 8:00 p.m. too.  It was way fun.  After that, we went and played Ultimate Frisbee!  I really LOVE that game!  It's one of the best games ever!  We played for an hour or so, then people left.  There were 11 or 12 of us there.  'Twas a good turn out.  Dan left this morning.  Good times. :)

On the 4th of July, I got pretty sick.  Well, it was the day before that I really got sick.... but the evening of the 4th I went to a derby in Delta.  It was pretty good.  There were a few tip-overs.  Sarah Kenison (a good friend from Snow), her brother-in-law Adam won the truck derby.  It was way cool.  There was a big fireworks display after the derby too.

This last Thursday I drove over to Ephraim and played Ultimate Frisbee with Alma Knudsen and a bunch of his friends and family.  That was probably the hardest game of Ultimate I've ever played.  It was so fun though!  When we were done, I went over and visited Stephanie and Brandon at Steph's apartment.  When it got late, I spent the night in my old apartment.... Probably wasn't supposed to..... but I did it anyway. hehehe  The next day I went and visited the ladies in the Snow College Bookstore.  I used to work there.  They were pretty surprised to see me there.  I told them about my mission call and talked for a while.  They told me Sarah, Kylee and their friend Pam had been down earlier and talked to them.  So I texted Kylee and hung out with those guys the rest of the day.  I really miss them.  I miss everyone in Ephraim!  At Snow!! :(  I really wish I was back there right now.  Staying here at home is really driving me crazy.  It gets so boring here!  There's nothing to do!  Well, that's what I said about Ephraim, but I could usually find something/someone to entertain me.  ah well.  :(  I still have two months left.  Two months of torture.

I'd better get going before I write a novel here.  Oh!  I'm going to see Batman: The Dark Knight tomorrow evening with a bunch of my friends!! :)

Life

"Good is the man who can see where his life is leading him; Great is the man who has already  seen it and done it."

I don't know why... but I really like making quotes.  I don't know.  I guess it's kind of weird.... but anyway...

Yesterday Steven Houston, Kari Stubbs, Trevor Nielson and I went and visited some of our friends at BYU.  (Kathleen Finlinson and Anna Peterson)  It was pretty fun.  They cooked some way good food!  It was mandarine oranges with chicken and rice, green and red peppers.  It was so good!  I really need to get the recipe!

The day before yesterday, a few of us played Ultimate Frisbee.  There were seven of us again.... lol.  Chad Moore, Amy and Paul Stephenson, Teresa Brown, Spencer Smith, and Crystal Moore.  It was fun.   The teams were really really uneven, so Chad and I played against five people.  hehe.  It was hard, but we won. :)  I love Ultimate Frisbee!!  I'm calling people right now to play tomorrow at nine.  I really hope people can come!

Oopsie Daisies

Sorry.  It's been a while...  Just haven't had much of a chance.. I guess to write on here....  But I'm writing now! :)  Well, last Saturday I went to Lagoon!  It was so awesome!!! :)  Jaclyn came up with me and we went with Stephanie, Brandon, Kylee, Ed, Sarah and Carlee.  I'm not going to go through every detail about the day.  It would take too long to tell everything.  But there was a power outage there in the middle of the day.  It lasted about 2 hours, and we all had to wait for it to come back on.  It was kind of a pain.  They did however tell us that if we bring our tickets back before June 30th, we'd get back in free!  So it was worth it! :)  It was so fun though!  I love it at Lagoon!  Especially when you have such amazing people as friends!  I love all you guys!! :D

I decided I use smiley's too often.  I'm sorry for this.  I'll try not to use as many from now on..... I hope it works.

Lagoon was on Saturday, but on Friday a few friends and I got together and played Ultimate Frisbee on the Delta football field.  It was sooo fun!  There was me, Darbin Nielson, Katelyn Stanworth, Steven Stanworth, Paul Stephenson, Amy Stephenson, and Michelle Stephenson.  We had so much fun!  I really like Ultimate Frisbee.  I have to say it's one of the best sports ever!  We're going to play tomorrow as well!  Hopefully there will be more than seven people, but it will still be fun any way!

Let's see..... Yesterday was church.  I finally had sacrament in the Leamington ward.  It's been a while since I've had it there.  It was also Father's Day yesterday too.  It was pretty good.  We had a big dinner for my dad, and my niece threw a little party. hehe she's only five years old.  It was cute.

Today I went to Delta to give my sister a cd, and give Jaclyn some cookies Lexi (my niece) and I had made last night.  They were Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies.  They are way good!  We had fun making them!  I hope Jaclyn thought they were good.... lol.  After that, I took Emilee Banks in the truck and taught her how to drive a stick shift.  It was pretty interesting.  She's quite a quick learner.  It really surprised me.  She only killed it 3 or 4 times... lol.  I was laughing quite a bit.  It was fun though.  Now I'm waiting for my dad to get home, and cleaning my room.  I'm going out to the cement plant to work tonight.  I haven't been out since Friday night....  So I'd better get going! :)

In Between

Wow!  It's 6:00 and I can't sleep!  Well, I woke up at about 5:30 or so, and just kinda laid here in bed....... Boy I hate my sleeping patterns!  My body usually wakes up at 6:30 no matter what.  Even if I went to bed at 4:00 in the morning!!  Kind of sucks, but it's all good.  I guess....

I started my job at the Cement Plant yesterday as a Sanitation Engineer (aka janitor).  I was one a few years ago for about two years.  I didn't like it much, but it was money.  I really should have gone and worked for Terry Scott (a landscaper) like I did last summer.....  But I guess if I did I wouldn't have met a few people! :)  I went out to the plant and worked for a while then Steven Houston came out and I helped him with a building he needed to do.  He then helped me finish my buildings.  It was good to finally catch up with what's been going on and all.  We decided before he leaves on his mission (he leaves July 9th!)  we're going to have a Grill Fest! lol  It's going to be amazing!  I am way excited!

Also yesterday I unloaded an 18 foot trailer full of logs right by our wood stack.  Boy that was a lot of wood.  I still have splinters running up and down my arms.  They don't itch as bad as they did yesterday, but I can still kind of feel them. :(  It was good though to finally get out and do a little something. :)

I am so HAPPY! :D  I get to go to Lagoon on Saturday!  It's Stephanie's birthday!! Happy Birthday Steph!! <3>

Yup, that's what has happened to me lately.... not much, but it's something.  :)

Fun Day....

Today was a way good day!  Well, the day went by slow but just cuz I was awaiting this evening!  I didn't really do much today.  Pretty much just stacked a bunch of wood my dad had out in the pole barn, and did several batches of laundry.  But at about 5:30 I headed into Delta, went to the bank then drove to the swimming pool where I met a flippin' amazing person!  Jaclyn, You're The Best!  lol!  Well, we went to The Pizza House and ate, then went and watched Kung Fu Panda.  Lol.  It's a pretty good show.  I'm not gonna lie.  We sat and laughed about it the whole time through.  It's one of the funnest shows I've watched with someone!  lol.  Jaclyn can make you laugh about anything!  It's amazing!  But yeah... that was my day.... Now I'm here typing this.  I just went and unloaded a bunch of wood so my dad can cut it up with the chain saw.  Then I can go stack it and unload more wood for my dad.  lol.  That's how life goes I guess.  Well Jaclyn, if you're reading this, we totally need to go do something again!! :)

Excitement of the Calmness

I'm sitting here at my brother's apartment right now being really bored.  He lives up in Springville.  He actually lives in a pretty nice apartment.  I guess I should talk about my brother sometime... So why not now?  Well, he's 25.  He's short, probably about 5'10 or so.  Maybe shorter.  I'm not positive... But he is pretty built.  He''s a little chubby, but it's practically all muscle.  He's a different individual. lol.  I wrote a few stories about him this last semester in college, and told of his abusive behavior, but he's changed a lot now.  He still brings out the worst side of me, but he's trying to do his best in life.  It's really amazing, his life.  He's really been through a lot and not had a lot of support from family and/or friends.  I'm surprised he's made it this far.  But I love him.  He's my bro. :)  If you want to hear the stories, just ask and I'll either tell them to you or e-mail you the essays I wrote.  But yeah.  That's my brother.

I guess I might as well describe my sister now.  She's short as well.  Only 5'2"  lol.  I'm the tall lurpy one of the family.  Oh!  I might as well say that we're all adopted too.  My sister and I have the same mother, but different fathers, and my brother is from completely different parents.  Just so you know.  So back to my sister.  She can be a lot of fun to be around, but she can also be a real ronch.  I love her to death though!  She's pregnant right now, as is my brother's wife.  It's pretty cool.  My sister is living in Delta with her boyfriend Loren.  I'm not sure how she likes it, but it seems she enjoys it pretty good.  And that's my sister.... Those are the only siblings I have.  I'm the baby. :D

So as I was saying, I'm sitting here in Springville at my brother's apartment being really bored.  I just got back from a funeral.  My friend that I worked with when I worked for a brick mason up here, his dad died.  It's pretty sad.  My bro asked if I would come up and go to the funeral to show my support.  I guess the guy is really well known up here in the community.  He was on the fire department, town council, worked at Wells Fargo, and was a way good guy.  His nickname was Red.  But that's what I've done all day.

Yesterday I went to my friend Ben Johnson's mission farewell.  It was pretty good actually.  Ben's a good guy.  Afterwards we went and ate food at the Delta Rec. Center.  Later that evening Steven, his sister Janice and I went up to Payson to visit our other friend Adam Mangrum.  He also had his mission farewell yesterday.  We talked to him for a while then Steven brought me up here to my bro's house.  And that's what I've been doing the last couple days.  It's been pretty good to sit back and relax for a bit.  But I'm still really bored.  Tomorrow I get to go see Kung Fu Panda or something like that with a friend that I haven't even met yet.... Jaclyn Johnson.... I am way excited though!! :D  When I've talked to her she seems really cool and outgoing!  Well, I'd better head..... I don't have much else to say right now.....

Times Of The Time

So I went to Lake Powell the last few days.  It was FLIPPIN' AMAZING!  I don't know if I've ever had that much fun at Lake Powell!  Well, I guess when we went on house boats, but that's a complete different story.

The first day we got there, we set up camp (mostly just pitched our tents and threw our food on the ground. lol!), then we tested out the water by getting into my dad's boat and tubing for a while.  It was such a blast!  We all took turns being pulled behind the boat on the tube.  When it was my turn, my dad got the boat up to 30 m.p.h!!! Which is way fast for tubing behind a boat!  I literally skipped across the water when I crashed!  It was so scary!  But it was fun.  He didn't take it as hard on the other kids though.  Probably cuz he knew I could take it and wanted to give the other guys a show.  Later that night we cooked dinner (some BBQ pork from the Fathers and Sons outing) and sat around talking.  It was such calm weather at night!  You could look up and see every star in the sky!  That's what I really love about open places.  We could even see the Milky Way which you usually can't see very often.  It was nothing short of Beautiful.

The next day, my dad, Scott Wilson, Steven Houston, Trevor Nielson and I got up a little earlier than the rest and went out fishing until 12:30 or so.  I caught a 14" striped bass (or a striper) and Trevor caught a 12" Walleye.  Those were the only two fish we caught at that time.  We had a good experience though seeing the sights of Lake Powell.  When we got back, my dad took the rest of the guys who hadn't gone fishing out wakeboarding and tubing.  While they were away, Scott Wilson took Trevor, Steven and me to the Marina and boat launching ramp.  It was pretty fun.  When we got down there, we decided to go down and look at all the house boats and motor boats docked.  There were some that looked just like houses pretty much!  It was amazing!  Stinkin' rich people lol!  There was one that was 24 feet wide!  IT was outstanding!  We also went to the store there at the dock and bought hamburger buns because the people who had bought all the food had forgotten them.  After, Scott took us back.  Apparently we had been gone for over three hours because the other guys and arrived back and were waiting for us.  We started dinner and hungrily awaited our long deserved meal.  That night, we started a fire and some people roasted marshmallows.  Micah Roper, Darbin Neilson and I started throwing a frisbee around.  It is amazingly difficult to play frisbee in the dark with only fire-light to see by.  We started counting how many times we caught it in  a row and got up to 40!  We couldn't get any higher.  My Dad made some mean peach cobbler, and we all went to bed ready for another fun-packed day of adventure!

Today at 7:00 a.m., my dad got me up and asked if I wanted to go water skiing.  The lake was really calm, and just begging for someone to ski on it.  I woke Trevor and Nathaniel Farnsworth up to go with me.  I started out on two skis and got up my first try!  I was surprised because I hadn't skied for over a year!  I then slalom skied for a while and let the other guys try out the sport.  Trevor got up on his second try, and was actually pretty good.  Nathaniel on the other hand could only stand up a little bit, only to fall back down in defeat.  He had fun though.  After we had had our fill, my dad decided to try it.  haha!  It was actually way funny!  I had no clue he could ski that good!  I drove the boat, and he was soon off to the races!  He never fails to amaze me!  After, we made our way back to camp.  My dad took the other guys out, and I took a nice hour long nap.  Maybe two hours.  I'm not sure.  I just know it felt good!  When they got back, we picked up camp and came home.  That's about the extent of my trip.  Sorry I don't have any pics!  I totally forgot my camera! :(  I'll get some pics up here though of Lake Powell that we've taken through the years.  I love that place!! :D
